NYC / NJ / LI Sound- At times referred to as "The Coast of Summer'- the New York City metropolitan area offers an incredibly diverse starting point for an amazing trip through the US Northeast summer sailing season. Our base in Sandy Hook, NJ is 15 nautical miles from the Battery (the southern most tip of Manhattan) and the East River. Or we can sail up the North River past the Statue of Liberty into the Hudson and visit the historic Hudson Valley, the way Hudson himself saw it- from the water- on a sailboat.

Or we can take one of the most exciting and scenic passages on the planet and sail the East River- literally at the foot of Manhattan- out into the Long Island Sound and the historic waters of the birthplace of American "yachting".
The mainland south coast on Connecticut to one side and the historic "Gold Coast" of the north shore of Long Island surround us on this one hundred mile long protected body of water. At the end of the Sound lies Block Island- absolutely one of the premier yachting destinations in America, and the famous Hamptons and Shelter Island, historic Newport and further east; the unspoiled Elizabeth Islands and Martha's Vineyard!

Winters- Our boats are just 45 minutes from either Tampa International or SW Florida International (Ft. Myers) airport!
Summers- We recommend Newark / Liberty as the easiest airport. We can be reached from either Newark, Kennedy or La Guardia via mass transit!
